About
GNSS POS File
---
Specify the GNSS .POS file to import. We support POS files from NRCAN, EMLID, and other GNSS systems. The POS file is usually about 75 hours long and will need to overlap the tide file for a sensible regression analysis. A big file can take some time to upload and process so be patient.

If you have a tide file, then leave this to AUTO. It will analyse the GNSS and Tide and figure out the best filter to apply to the GNSS data. A larger number will use more observations, a smaller number will use fewer observations. You will see the result in the smoothed GNSS tide plot below.

The FFT filter uses a low pass filter to clip out high frequency noise such as waves, and swell. this enables the tide curve to be extracted from the GNSS data. The user can specify the cut off period here. we find 12000 seconds (3 hours) is a good value for most situations we have seen.
TIDE File
---
Specify the .TID, .CSV, .XLSX, .txt file so we can compute a regression plot and auto tune the filter levels to produce the best regression fit. If you leave this blank then no regression will be plotted. The tool supports the EIVA TID file format, CARIS tid file format, CSV with 2 columns (date, tide), AusTides predicted file or a. Excel file with a sheet name 'Final_Tide' and the first 2 columns containing the date and tide. The tide file will be clipped to the time duration of the GNSS file.
Mean Sea Level above LAT (m)
*
If you specify a 'MSL above LAT Separation, the webapp can compute the Hydroid separation using this parameter. LAT is normally below MSL so will typically be a positive number. If you leave this number as zero, the Tide file will be used to compute Mean Sea Level above LAT by using the mean of observations overlapping the GNSS observations.
